Solar and Wind powered lighting is the future way forward in the global initiatives of reducing the carbon footprint.
For the past two centuries, energy systems have used fossil fuels to promote the development of human society, however at the same time, the use of fossil fuel has brought about serious environmental and ecological damage.
Counties around the world have recognised the destruction caused and have started to direct their concentration and resources towards finding alternative energy sources so that the human development can continue but without causing a toxic environment.
The UK’s street lighting source alone consumes over 4 billion KWh of electricity every year, costing approximately £500m and resulting in over 1.9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide being produced. The combination of our wind and solar power systems alongside Osram’s high efficiency LED lighting sources, our street lighting solution will help to dramatically cut energy bills and reduce carbon emissions.
We at Solar Street Lighting are aiming to maximise our presence around the world to provide clean, affordable, sustainable and high quality street lighting systems that will have financial and environmental benefits. Our dedication to this initiative has been appreciated by the local and global community at both local and Government level.
We have also forged a successful partnership with Osram Lighting, who are based at Ivy Business Centre, Failsworth and as a result have opened a new avenue of opportunities.
Osram Ltd, are one of the world’s leading providers of lighting solutions. The German parent company has been in existence since 1906 and has been a pioneer in the sector since those early times
Our state of the art showroom in Ivy Business Centre based inside the historical Ivy mill in Failsworth showcases the capabilities of the company’s growth.
We are therefore very excited about our project which is going from strength from strength and is a big contribution towards having a brighter and greener planet.
